Hello...thanks for stopping by

Unfortunately then my Dad became ill. He had such wonderful, compassionate people
look after him before he died; it made me want to be one of them.
And so began my journey into healthcare.

I've always found the human body fascinating. I started by rotating across all areas of physiotherapy to get a good grounding, before specialising in healthcare for older people.

By 2024, I could see there were increasing numbers of people who struggled with their mobility; not able to get to clinics; sat on waiting lists - getting weaker, more isolated and lower in mood.
I was a Consultant Therapist in falls prevention in the NHS; working across physical and mental health services and enjoyed supporting other therapists as their professional lead.
Helen was encouraging, positive
and reassuring. If you need that
personal touch, give her a call.

Hi I'm Helen. I've been a physio since 2011 (prior to this I worked in the glorious, but busy, Covent Garden in the marketing & design industry).
Hence the set up Home Physio Care! To offer caring support for people in their own homes, minimising hospital admissions; reducing demand on social care and most importantly supporting people's independence and wellbeing.

Having spent the last ten years in Nottingham, I have a fabulous network of wonderful people from Occupational Therapists to manual handling specialists that I can call on if required.

Outside of work you can find me trying to understand the gaming language of my ten year old son; walking my gorgeous beaglepoo dog (who is currently undergoing assessment to be official therapy dog - watch this space) or sampling all the delicious bakeries that Nottingham has to offer!
Want someone 'encouraging, positive and reassuring'?
Our Home Physio Care values
If we're not the right person for you, we'll say so. We'll turn up when we say we will and we'll follow up on the things we say we're going to do. You can rely on us.
Trust
Compassion
Having worked in physical and mental health settings, we know that mental wellbeing is as important to support as physical wellbeing. We'll actively listen to what's important to you.
Like to see if I could help you or your loved one?
Collaboration
We're not in competition with anybody. Whether it's the NHS, care providers, other independent practitioners, carers or family - we'll work together towards the best outcome for you.
Her [our mother's] physical decline
appears to have slowed or even
haltered. From our experience, I can't
imagine a better person for us
than Helen.
